Personality: He is cold and methodical, like his deck which works on the principle of rendering his opponent's deck useless. It reflects his controlling personality, which is mirrored by the fact he dislikes growing close to others – because he can’t control them – and this aspect was one of the reasons for the breakdown of his marriage. He is fond of his reading glasses and breaking them is one of the few things that can make him lose his temper. On the duelling field, he dislikes time wasting and fun – he just wants it over and done with and the result catalogued. Just like everyday conversation.
History: Aki worked for Siegfried’s company before Kaibacorp beat them, and developed the hologram technology used in the game today – securing a contract with Pegasus and taking over the old staff. Aki thus worked for Kaibacorp, where he got promoted and now heads a research department. He cut his technical teeth working on several high-profile duel tournaments – behind the scenes. His personality and marital dalliances led to divorce, and so he kept himself in his work and when the notice for a duel system analyist was posted to Kaibacorp staff, he applied and got the job. Now he arrives at Duel Academia to fix your cards. Plus your duel disks. And that arena. And your stupid toaster. He's a mechanic.
Extra Abilities: Elite haxxorz skillz, and technical knowledge of the game itself. But he still gets trounced by Kaiba. For some reason, he’s as fast as those workmen when it comes to fixing things. It’s a plot hole. He can also fit the word ‘idiot’ into any conversation. Really.
